The 4 x 4
mentorship + workshop
Four photographers, working together and one-on-one with me for four months.
Includes an all expenses covered four day workshop with portfolio building shoots specifically designed to meet the artistic longings of each of the participants.
The program includes:
Four monthly one-on-one calls with me
Four monthly group calls with all participants where we can share our work, ask questions and connect with each other.
Weekly Voxer support- that way we can keep in touch with your projects between our monthly calls.
A four day workshop that will include four portfolio building shoots that will be specifically aligned to the artistic needs of participants.
A mini-portrait session with me while you’re here.
Airport pick-up available from BWI airport.
Why I think this is going to be really special:
The workshop will be hosted in my home in Chesapeake Beach. I love getting to share my and this town place where my great grandparents came to so many years ago. These brackish waters and this funny little spot an hour south of Washington, DC are deeply meaningful to me. It is a privilege to get to show you my heart in this way.
I think that many workshops offer plentiful learning and opportunity, but this offer is designed to be highly personalized to the group. You won’t leave making pictures that look like mine- you’ll leave having created the exact things that your heart has been desiring to make.
In our first month of mentoring, we will determine what work you are eager to create and then we will make a plan for how to create it. Meanwhile, I will start arranging a photoshoot specifically designed around your needs that we will all get to participate in during the workshop.
I also love that after the workshop, there will be ample time to review the work you created, decide how to use it in a way to attract your dream clients, and work together towards next steps.
“I signed up for the 4x4 to create & expand my portfolio in new directions. I got what I went for and more. You see, mentoring with Rachel is a good time. It’s a lot of laughs, it’s honest, it’s real. She holds nothing back. And those are all very refreshing and wonderful things. They build us up & make us feel seen & create momentum.
I left with more than that though, change that I felt shifted my trajectory on a deeper level. This is what I think made Rachels mentoring different than any other mentor I’ve worked with. There was no interference of ego. Rachel’s goal was tease out my creative voice without projecting hers. She watched & listened to what I was saying & responded with a question almost always, sometimes accompanied by an observation. This process helped me begin to realize where I was stuck, how I was holding myself back and ultimately the small ways I could start now to create positive change for the future. Her kindness, support & insight have been invaluable to me in my creative journey.”

“I have so much I could say, like how generous she is in sharing, how I felt seen and heard, her knack for pointing out strengths but I need you to know she has a true gift for stoking a fire.”
